Sir,
I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to state, for the information of Lord Granville, with reference to your Letter of the 25th ulto, that the correspondence inclosed in your Letter of the 22 June last relating to the expenditure on certain Works at S. Juan, was communicated to the War Departt.
My Lords apprehend that the works referred to formed the subject of a claim preferred by the AuditorGeneralManuscript image General of the Colony in an Account rendered by him for the Quarter ended 31st December 1867 to the amount of £1037.13.7, which has been repaid to the Colony.
