YouManuscript image no doubt have had more applications on the subject than I have but several parties have been with me particularly Mr Fitzgerald who is quite hot about Coals.

Mr Hawes Merivale. I conclude that this note is the result of some interview which Sir J. Pelly has had with Mr Hawes.

HM Feb 19
Feby 21 Sir J. Pelly wished some proposition relating to the Colonization of the Id to proceed from this office. This note was merely to refer to the correspondence shewing? that the H.B.Cy had desired such a proposition. Whether it does or not I cannot now say. It requires no answer.
If the last official letter was from the Co one shd now be written to them saying that I think the proposal of a plan had better come from them & that I shd be very glad to receive one with reference to the discovery of coal. X Sir J F 16 letter.
