In reply to your Letter of the 7th Inst, respecting the passage of Mr Blanshard, late Governor of

Vancouver's Island from that Place to Panama; I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to state, for the information of Earl Grey, that the Admiral Commanding in the Pacific has been acquainted that in case of any of Her Majestys Ships visiting Vancouver's Island there will be no objection to a passageManuscript image being afforded to Mr Blanshard, to any Port to which Her Majesty's Ship may be proceeding.
