With reference to your Letter of the 9th Instant, I have it in command to acquaint you, for the information of Earl Grey, that, under the circumstances of the state of ill health of Mr Blanshard, the late Governor of Van Couver's Island, the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury will not object to the Expence of his conveyance to Panama, in Her Majesty's Ship "Daphne," between the 4th July andManuscript imageand 3rd August last, being defrayed by the Public.
