I have laid before my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty your letter of the 23rd ultimo, forwarding the extract of a despatch from the Governor of Van Couver's Island, relative to the erection of Storehouses for Naval purposes in the harbour of Esquimalt, and I have it in command to acquaint you, for the information of the Duke of Newcastle, that myManuscript image my Lords do not think it expedient to adopt the Governor's suggestion in this matter.
