In reply to your letter of the 17th ultimo, I am directed by Lord Panmure to acquaint you for the information of Mr Secretary Labouchere that the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury have instructed the Paymaster General to issue to the Governor of the Hudsons Bay Company the sum of 400 on account of the expenses incurred in chartering the "Otter" as a Guard Ship at Vancouver's Island.
