With reference to the communications which have taken place from time to time with the Colonial Office on the subject of an expected migration of the Mormons into Her Majesty's possessions on the North West Coast of America, I have now the honor to enclose for your information a Copy of a letter just received by the Hudson's Bay Company from Governor Douglas dated Victoria, Vancouvers Island, 31st March last, which, I trust, will be satisfactory.
