By direction of the Governor and Committee of the Hudson's Bay Company I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 5th Instant, transmitting a copy of a Despatch from the Governor of Vancouver's Island in reference to the expected immigration of the Mormons into British territory; and I am to express the thanks of the Board for this communication.
