Sir,
I transmit to you herewith copy of a correspondence which has passed between this Office and the War Department relative to the erection of a Naval Powder Magazine in VanCouver Island, and I have to instruct you to place a suitable site at the disposal ofManuscript imageof the War Department for this service, and to desire the Officer Commanding the Royal Engineers to take at once those measures which are requisite for carrying the wishes of the War Office into effect.
