My Lord Duke,
I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of Your Despatch No: 4 of the 9th February 1863 acquainting me that the final accounts relating to the erection of the Lighthouses in Fucas StraitsManuscript image have not yet been received and that the Lords of the Committee of Privy Council for Trade were unable in consequence to settle the Accounts for these Lighthouses.
2. I beg to express my regret for this inadvertent omission which arose through the change in Treasurers and I hasten to supply it. By the present mail the accounts in question will be forwardedManuscript image to the Secretary of the Board of Trade and I trust that they may be found satisfactory.
