With reference to Mr Elliot's letter of the 20th Instant, & its Enclosure, respecting the supply of Douglas Pine Seed which has been shipped to this Country by the Governor of Vancouver's Island for the use of the Commissioners of Her Majesty's Woods & Forests, I am desired by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you, for the information of the Duke of Newcastle, that as soon as the Account between the Imperial Government & the Government of Vancouver's Island which contains the charge of £65.13.5,Manuscript image the cost of collecting the Seeds in question, has been received in this Department, My Lords will request the repayment of the amount from the Commissioners of Woods &c.
