Sir,
I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to send you, herewith, for the information of H.M. Secty of State for the Colonies an Extract of a letter from Rear Admiral the Honble J. Denman dated 13 Sepr No 117 reporting his visit to the Settlements of Nanaimo Comox & Cowichen; and repeating his recommendation that a dock should be constructed at Esquimalt.
