a police force in the gold fields.

It was highly satisfactory to learn that in respect
to those measures, I had only anticipated your wishes and
I may add that with respect to the Hudson's Bay Company,
they no longer possess rights or enjoy any privilege that
is not equally shared by all Her Majesty's subjects in those Colonies.
