exclusion from practice in the Courts of British Columbia, and Vancouvers Island,Douglas relates that he

procuring the admission of Lawyers, educated either in Canada, or the British Colonies generally, to practice in the courts.

I have duly received your Despatch No 57 of the 29th April,
transmitting the Copy of a letter from Mr John Barnston of Montreal,
relative to his sons exclusion from practice in the Courts of British
Columbia, and Vancouvers Island
