I am directed by the Secretary of State to transmit to you the
enclosed copy of a letter from the Admiralty respecting the accounts
for the Shipment and delivery of stores sent to British Columbia in the
"Thames City," and I am desired to instruct you to communicate a copy of
the same to Colonel Moody.

Richards to Merivale, 19 September 1860, informing him that, with
regards to the Colonial Office stores sent to British Columbia aboard
Thames City, due to the very irregular manner in which the shipment and delivery of these stores were arranged
by Colonel Moody, considerable difficulty has been experienced in the investigation of the claim.
