I have to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch No. 32 of the 30th April last enclosing an application from Mr Henry P. Pellew Crease for the appointment of Attorney General in British Columbia, to which you state that you have no objection to offer.
In pursuance therefore of the intention conveyed to youManuscript image in my Despatch No. 82 of the 15th of June last I have submitted Mr Crease's name to The Queen, and I enclose the usual Warrant under the Royal Sign Manual appointing him to the office in question.
