Newcastle asks Douglas to repay the Colonial Agents General…the sum of £67 which has been paid into the Colonial Treasury of British Columbia by Captain Gosset on account of his passage from Ceylon to this country in May 1858.

With reference to your despatch No. 193 of the 22nd of July 1859, I have to instruct you to remit to the Colonial Agents General, Messrs Barnard and Julyan, the sum of £67 which has been paid into the Colonial Treasury of BritishManuscript image Columbia by Captain Gosset on account of his passage from Ceylon to this country in May 1858.
