I have the honor to transmit to you a copy of a Memorial addressed to me by certain Inhabitants of British Columbia, and I have to request that you will inform the Memorialists that the subject of the Postal communication between Great Britain and Vancouver Island and British Columbia is under the consideration ofHerManuscript image Her Majesty's Government.
I have further to request that you will acquaint the Memorialists that any future Representation which they may desire to make should, in accordance with the established rule, be forwarded through yourself, as Governor of the Colony, in order that I may have the benefit of any observations or suggestions which you may have to offeruponManuscript image upon it.
