Abstract
Despatch from London.
Newcastle acknowledges Douglas's despatch No. 7 of the 5th of February last enclosing a copy of a Report from Mr. Begbie, the Judge of British Columbia, containing his observations on the state of the communications through the interior of the Colony and asks that Douglas thank Begbie for the valuable information.

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch No. 7 of the 5th of February last enclosing a copy of a Report from Mr. Begbie, the Judge of British Columbia, containing his observations on the state of the communications through the interior of the Colony, and I have to request that you will express to the Judge my thanks for the valuable information which he has contributed.
