I have the honor to transmit to you an extract from a Report of the Colonial Land and Emigration Commissioners on the subject of a Company which has been recently formed for the purpose of forwarding emigrants throughManuscript image Canada overland to British Columbia.
I concur generally in the views expressed by the Commissioners, and although I do not consider the direct interference of H.M.'s Government to be necessary, I am desired to call your attention to this Company, in order that their proceedings may be entitled for the purposeManuscript image of ascertaining whether their engagements with their Emigrants are carried out in Good faith.
