This letter will be presented to you by Mr. Thomas L. Wood a Member of the English Bar who is proceeding to B. Columbia for the purpose of settling thereManuscript image with his family.
I grant this introduction at the request of Mr. Lindsay M.P. who informs me that Mr. Wood is going out with the intention of investing his capital in the colony, and in the hope that with the return from it and the practice of his profession he will do better than in this country. I have no doubt that Mr. Wood will prove a valuable settler.
