Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch No. 9
of the 2nd of February enclosing a copy of a Report from Mr. Begbie on
the Mines and Roads of British Columbia.
I have read this Report with much interest, and I have to request
that you will convey to Mr. Begbie my sense of the
value of the
knowledge of the state of the Colony afforded by his observations.
