Sir,
I have the honor to transmit to you a copy of a letter, with its
enclosure, from the War Office relative to the employment of Corporal W.
Hale, now serving under Colonel Moody, in completing the inscription on
the granite Obelisk which marks the western terminus
of the British
North American Boundary.
