Sir,
I enclose a copy of a letter from Mr. Donald Munro dated the 21st Instant, and I have the honor to request that you will inform me whether on the receipt of my Predecessor's Despatch No. 60 of the 27th of November last, any enquiries were made respectingtheManuscript image the fate of Mr. Donald Munro junior and with what result.
I have also to request that you will if possible comply with the wish of Mr. Munro to be placed in possession of his son's watch and the cup found at his side.
