I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 14 of the 4th of June, accompanied by an Ordinance passed by the Legislature of British Columbia in the month of May last, and entitled No. 14 "An Ordinance for regulating the Postal Service."
I have laid thisOrdinanceManuscript image Ordinance before the Queen, and I am commanded to acquaint you that Her Majesty has been pleased to confirm and allow it.
You will communicate Her Majesty's decision to the Inhabitants of the Colony in the usual manner.
