I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of a Telegram from you dated the 18th of April.
I am much gratified to receive this proof of the new and rapid communication opened between this country and possessions of The Queen so distant asManuscript image that of British Columbia and I have received with pleasure the tidings now conveyed to me of the progress of roads and other works of utility in the Colony.
