Buckingham approves Seymour’s proposal to pay Young at different rates as colonial secretary, depending on where Young is working in British Columbia,
until the question of the Capital of the Colony is decided.

Sir,
I have to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 134 of
the 28th September, and to approve, until the question of the Capital
of the Colony is decided, your proposal as to the rate of Salary to
be assigned to Mr. W.A.G. Young Colonial Secretary, vizt, at the rate
of £600 perannum

serving at New Westminster.
