Lennox informs the Colonial Office that the Admiralty has no objections to a British Columbia ordinance, which will provide more effectual protection of Her Majestys[’] Naval and Victualling Stores. Holland’s minute recommends sanctioning the referenced ordinance.

Sir,
Having laid before my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty your letter of the 4th Instant and its enclosures; I am commanded by their Lordships to acquaint you for the information of the Duke of Buckingham and Chandos that there does not appear to be any objections to the Royal Sanction being given to an Ordinance of the Legislature of British Columbia for the more effectual protection of Her Majestys Naval and Victualling Stores.
