With reference to our letter of the 20th Instant, I am directed by Lord Stanley to request that you will state to the Duke of Buckingham that His Lordship will forward to Her Majesty's Minister at Washington copies of the correspondence communicated in your letter, and which has passed between the Colonial office and MessrSproatManuscript image Sproat, regarding the extension to British Columbia of the Provisions of the Reciprocity Treaty if renewed.
