Sir,
The Lords Commissoners of Her Majesty's Treasury have had before them your letter of 19th inst enclosing copy of a despatch from the Governor of B. Columbia relating to the expenses of the Military occupation of the island of St Juan.
I am to state, for the information of the Secretary of State, that the Governor is correct in the view taken by him on the subject. The sums specified—vizt£Manuscript image £118.8.8 for collecting Pine Seeds and £22.11.10 for freight on War Office Stores—having been recovered from the Departments of the Commissioners of Woods and Secretary of State for War respectively.
