I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of yourDespatchManuscript image Despatch of the 28th July, Separate, enclosing Copies of Reports from the Police Magistrate of Victoria respecting the supposed intentions of the Fenians against the Town.
I have to convey to you my approval of your acceptance of Admiral Hastings' offer of a Guard for Government House, and of your proposal to build a small Guard House at the expense of the Crown Fund.
