No. 36
10th March 1869
My Lord,
I have the honor to forward an Authenticated and two plain Copies of an Ordinance of the present Session of the Legislature, entitled; No. 4.Manuscript image No. 4. An Ordinance to enable "The Queen Charlotte Coal Mining Company, Limited," to change their Registered Office from the City of New Westminster to the City of Victoria. Queen Charlotte's Island was a Dependency of the Mainland, previous to the Union of the Colonies. Hence it was requisite that the Head office of anyCompanyManuscript image Company formed to develope the resources of the island should have its Head Quarters in New Westminster. Union and the removal of the Seat of Government has changed all that. I see no objection to the Ordinance.
2. I enclose the report of the Attorney General.
I have the honor to be
My Lord,
Your Lordship's most obedient,
humble Servant.
