I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to send you, herewith, for the information of Earl Granville, copy of a Letter from Rear Admiral The Hon. G. Hastings dated 26 Decr 1868, No. 236, with Copy of its enclosure relative to an inspection of the Ports situated in Puget Sound, Vancouver's Island by Captain Dawkins & Lieut. Ching [?] of H.M.S. "Zealous."
