Otway transmits a document from the Baden Consul, who has requested that the document be
forwarded to Weisshaar and signed by Weisshaar. Cox’s minute suggests sending to Seymour and informing the Foreign Office.
I am directed by the Earl of Clarendon to transmit to you to be
laid before Earl Granville the accompanying Document which the
Consul for Baden has requested may be forwarded to the address
of Christian Friedrich Weisshaar, joiner, Victoria, British
Columbia. The Consul is further anxious that Weisshaar's
signatureshould should be procured if possible to the inclosed form of
receipt.
