I transmit to you a copy of a letter which I have received from Mr.
A. Wells in reference to the case of "Krog v Franklin" which was tried
at the Bristol Assizes in 1858.

In case Captain Franklin should not have left British Columbia I
have to request you to place a copy of that communication in his hands
and to desire him to furnish such a Report as will enable me to judge
what steps I should take in the matter.
