Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Mr. Seymour's
Despatch No. 34 of the 10th March and to convey to you Her Majesty's
Gracious Confirmation and Allowance of the Ordinance No. 1 of 1869,
enacted by the Government of British Columbia and entitled"An

for the establishment of Savings Banks within the Colony."

I transmit to you however, for the consideration of the Legislative
Council a copy of a Report by Mr. Tidd Pratt upon the provisions
of that Ordinance.
