Sir,
I forward to you herewith for your information and guidance and
with reference to your Predecessors Despatch No. 21 of the 25th February
1869 a copy of a letter from the Treasury enclosing a copy of one from
the Board of Admiralty requesting to be furnished with the Statementof
of
expenditure in connection with the occupation of San Juan for the
quarter ended the 31st March 1869 and suggesting the earlier
transmission of those returns for the future.
