Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Despatch No. 70 of
the 16 May and to convey to you Her Majesty's gracious confirmation and
allowance of the Ordinance passed by the Government of British Columbia
No. 5 of the 20th April 1870 entitled "An Ordinance to amendthe
