I have to acknowledge your Despatch N 8, of the
13 of June
last, reporting the measures you have taken in consequence of a
requisition addressed to you by the Commander in Chief of the Naval
Forces in the Pacific
for for providing the Fleet with Supplies and Hospital
accommodation at
Vancouver's Island, and I have to inform you that the
Hudson's Bay Company have been apprized that on receiving proper
vouchers, the
Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty will be ready to
defray all claims which can justly be made on this account on the Naval
Department.
