Sir,
With reference to my Despatch No. 38 of the 3rd Ultimo, I herewith transmit to you, the Queen's Warrant for the appointment of Mr George Tomline Gordon to be Treasurer for the Island of Vancouver and I have to instruct you to remit to Gordon Gairdner Esquire, the Chief Clerk of my office the sum of £1-10-0 in repayment of the Stamp Duty on this Warrant.
