With reference to your despatch No. 21 of the 12th April, I have
the honour to acquaint you that the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty
have consented to allow Lieutenant P.I. Hankin to retain his
appointment of Superintendent of Police at Victoria, Vancouver Island,
for one year.
