Lillooet Lake
Lillooet Lake is located roughly 80 km southeast of the municipality of
Lillooet . Lillooet Lake was an important part of the route to the community of
Lillooet , and a link to the
Fraser and
Cariboo gold fields.
In
this despatch ,
Douglas notes that
the passage of Lake Lillooett 13 miles in length, and with depth of water sufficient
for large vessels is effected by means of large sized boats constructed for the purpose.
