My Lord,
I have the honor to forward with the usual Report from the Attorney General, an authenticated and two plain copies of an Act passed by the Legislative Council entitled—AnManuscript image An Act respecting Literary Societies and Mechanic's Institutes.
2. Your Lordship will observe that a verbal amendment which was recommended by the Attorney General in respect of the Bill as it was first submitted to me has since been made by the Council at my suggestion.
3. I am not aware of any objection to Her Majesty'sassentManuscript image assent to this Bill.
