With reference to Your Despatch of the 30th of November last, No 78, calling my attention to a Petition to the Queen from Mr John CoplandprayingManuscript image praying to be admitted as an Attorney and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Vancouver Island, forwarded to me in your Despatch No 50 of the 30th of March last, I beg to refer Your Grace to my Despatch No 74 of the 30th of November last, covering the required Report from the Chief Justice upon that Petition, and which Report contained an Explanation from thatfunctionaryManuscript image functionary of the cause of the delay in its transmission.
