Sir,
I beg to acquaint you, for the information of the Secretary of State in answer to your Letter of the 11th Instant 1 that passage to Colony for Captain and Mrs Grant, one child, a Servant, and twelve men of the Royal Engineers has been ordered on board the Contract Mail Steam Packet, which will leave Southampton on the 17th Instant: and I request that you will be pleased to specify the quantity and description of the stores which will accompany this party, as soon as practicable.
