Trevelyan informs the CO that the Paymaster General has authorized £183.3.1 for forage purchased on behalf of Colonel Moody.
The minutes acquaint Moody sending the letter under cover to Captain Elphinstone as requested by Moody.
Enclosed is a draft from Elliot to Moody advising the sum of £58.5.4 had been placed in his account for travelling and incidental expenses, and £183.3.1 to defray cost of forage.

I am commanded by the Lords Commissoners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you that the Paymaster General has been authorized to issue to Messrs Cox & Co on behalf of Col. Moody the sum of £183.3.1 for forage purchased on account of British Columbia in compliance with the request contained in Mr Elliot's letter of the 11th instant. 1
