Parsons forwards a statement of expenses for the travel of him and his detachment of Royal
Engineers from England to British Columbia.
The minutes note that Parsons has kept the expenses within the £1600 advanced by the Treasury and send the account to the Treasury for information.
Enclosed is the Colonial Office to the Treasury forwarding a copy of the letter and enclosed account for information.
Parsons to Lytton
I have the honor to forward a statement of the expenses incurred by
me on the Public service while proceeding with a detachment of the Royal
Engineers from Southampton viâ Panamá to Victoria, Vancouver
Isld.
The Receipts I obtained for many of the Sums
expended, are not forwarded with this Statement, my instructions
from Coll Moody being that they should be submitted to him.
