Despatch from London.
Lytton informs Douglas that the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel have sent Reverend James Gammage to the mining population of British Columbia; he will take passage on the Thames City with the party of Royal Engineers.

Sir,
I have to acquaint you that the Society for the Propagation of the
Gospel have selected the Reverend James Gammage to officiate amongst the
mining population of British
Columbia.
