Sir,
I have to request that you will inform Captain Parsons that I have received his letter of the 27th September. 1 reporting his arrival at Panama and the steps which he had taken for conveying his party to their destination.
You will state tohimManuscript image him that I approve of the course he took for securing second Class passages on board the Vessel which was to convey his men to San Francisco, and that I have recommended the Lords Commissoners of the Treasury to honor his Bills to the extent of Six hundred pounds (£600) in addition to the One Thousand Pounds (£1000) placed at his disposal previous to his leaving this Country.
