This letter will be delivered to you by Mr Robert Falk, a gentleman who is about to proceed to Vancouver's Island and has applied to me for an introduction to yourself.
The enclosed copy of a letter which Mr Falk has addressed to me will explain the objects for which he is going to the Colony and he has submitted to me the note of which also I send you a copy, from Sir John Pakington in evidence of his respectability and standing.
I have explained to Mr Falk in grantingManuscript image this introduction that it must not be regarded as guaranteeing to any extent the concern in which he is interested and is intended solely to serve as a Voucher for the respectability of his position in this Country.
